The Home Stretch

It's been a month since my first post and I am counting down the days!

Just two weeks ago my travels back to Northern Ireland were solidified with a purchase of plane tickets! Prices more than doubled from last year, but we're making it work. It will be my fourth time to Saintfield in the last three years. This time we are going for 2 weeks with a team of 7 to spend time and work with the youth there at First Presbyterian Saintfield. The best part about this team is that we have all been at least once before! We depart in 3 three weeks, 23 July and return on 6 August. My last day of work is exactly 2 weeks away and I am so excited to move on from the season of life. I have enjoyed my jobs (Peet's Coffee and The Old Spaghetti Factory), but working two part time jobs is definitely not what I'm built for. I am glad that I took this time to work, it's all life experience and I have made some pretty unique friendships as a result so all in all it has been a good experience.

From mid July to mid August is gunna be one big blur...

Pick up Carlos on the 16th, rehearsal dinner for Chad's wedding that night, be a groomsman on the 17th and get down with my bad self at the reception ;) Pack my truck on the 18th, drive to parents place in the bay area, drive back down on the 20th, team time 21st and 22nd, get on a plane on the 23rd, share the Life of Jesus for 2 weeks, come back, thank my church for support on the 8th, drive north again spend time with parents for a few days, drive to my home town, Twain Harte(!), stay with the Koskelas for a night and start hitching on the 12th! At least that's the plan :)

From there I get into the wonderful land of Oregon. Stop at my beloved Camp Tadmor and then make my way up to Portland and hang with Ms. Desiraé for a while and then off into the unknown! Maybe see friends in Idaho, say hello to the Kleins and maybe the Fernandezes in Montana, see friends in Minnesota, the family in Iowa, Jeremy in Michigan and who knows what else...

So, we've got about 6 weeks unlit liftoff, but I know and hope they will fly by! We're on the home stretch!
